Not Your Grandma's Approach

While there is wisdom found in grandma's garden, there is also room to grow; and we're not just talking about plants. With advances in technology, we now have a deeper view of what's going on in our soils. We help you bring both the wisdom of the old & the innovation of the new to your food growing systems.

Microbe Farming

Learn to use farm/ household scraps to make thermophilic compost that is teeming with microbes. This compost acts as your starter for your garden soil.

Close the Loop

By using your farm/household scrapes/waste, you are contributing to a more sustainable food growing system.

Self Sufficient

If you know how to collect materials for compost, how to compost it correctly - you will never have to rely on buying potting soil/ inputs from the store each Spring.

Nutrient Dense

By using microbes to grow food, you are providing your plants available nutrients all the time. When your soil is healthy, your food is more nutrient dense.

Step One:

On Site Visit

We need to do a site visit to your location to assess your land, current management plans, compaction, water infiltration, and take a few soil samples.

During this visit we go over your goals for your property.

Step Three:

Create a plan for your

site

After we have the data from step 1 & 2 we are able to create a tailored plan for your site. This includes how to deal with the specific issues your property is facing & teaching you how to keep this plan in place long after we've left.

Our goal is to help you use closed loop systems on your farm and end reliance on outside systems

Step Two:

Microscopic Soil Analysis

After we visit your site, we will take the samples of soil back to our lab and look at it under a microscope. This will give us an idea of what's working for you & what's working against you.

After this analysis is finished we make recommendations on how to improve the structure in your soil.

Step Four:

Implement site plan

Once we have your site plan in place we immediately being working alongside you to implement it! This is the exciting part. Our plans can take a few years to see the whole result but you'll likely be able to see positive results within the first growing season if everything goes according to plan.
